Katie Powell had her own
business as an architectural and corporate interior designer prior to joining
MPFC. Her background prior to coming to Oregon included teaching
at UCLA for seven years and guest lecturing for other institutions and for ASID / IBD. At UCLA she served on the Guidance Committee, developing seven core
courses for the school of design, and also participated in the student thesis
program.

& Interior Design,
specializing in large scale projects. Clients included: Mattel Toys,
Inc.; Arco; Allied Bendix, Inc.; Fred Sands, Realtors. Worked alone or in

Years, UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, Los Angeles, CA. Design
Instructor. Besides teaching core classes, primary responsibilities included
writing and developing four corporate classes dealing with project management &
design and construction drawings, to round out their corporate design program.
Also taught one-day courses on resume writing, marketing strategies, and other
management-oriented disciplines.
