Painting Decorative Elements
Following is a snapshot of painting the decorative elements on the Smokey Maple Mason Monterey A-Frame Dining Chairs.
The process took many weeks as the paint had to dry thoroughly between coats, and coats had to be applied in layers. The original Mason paints contained chemicals and minerals that speeded the drying time. The final stage, waxing, is not included at this time, which is why the final image is quite shiny. Right, Kate at work.
