Katie Powell had her own
business as an architectural and corporate interior designer prior to joining
MPFC. Her background prior to coming to the Rogue Valley included teaching
at UCLA for seven years and guest lecturing for other institutions and for IBD. At UCLA she served on the Guidance Committee, developing seven core
courses for the school of design, and also participated in the student thesis
program.
Now
in addition to the work she does with MPFC, she also accepts corporate and
residential projects. She works alone or as part of a team to
facilitate integrated design. Currently she is working on a residence
outside Ashland, Oregon.

Instructor. Besides teaching core classes, primary responsibilities included
writing and developing four corporate classes dealing with project management &
design and construction drawings, to round out their corporate design program.
She also taught one-day courses on resume writing, marketing strategies, and other
management-oriented disciplines.
