2007 FAUTEUIL (PDF):  Family heirlooms, this fauteuil frame was badly damaged, fractured and splintered inside the apron and left-facing arm. 

  2007 SEIGNOURET CHAIR (PDF):  Family heirlooms, this American Empire Seignouret Chair from New York had a soiled needlepoint seat and the frame needed treatment and preservation. 

  2007 TWO WASSILY CHAIRS BY MARCEL BREUER (PDF):  A modern family heirloom, these Wassily chairs have their original leather strapping.  The strapping back, arms and seats needed to be repaired and reinforced..
 

  2006 FRENCH DECO CHAIR (PDF):  Family heirlooms brought from Europe, these were upholstered inappropriately in the last 50 years, in vinyl and blue mohair.  The innards, however, were intact.  The pieces were excavated, frames repaired, innards cleaned and reutilized, and reupholstery in a mattlasse which is a more appropriate material and style for their time.
 

  2006 FRENCH GREEN DECO CHAIRS  (PDF):  These two identical chairs were family heirlooms brought from Europe.  The pieces were excavated, frames repaired, innards cleaned and reutilized where possible, and then they were reupholstered in a stunning velvet fit for a movie star!
 

2004 BALLOON BACK PARLOR CHAIRS (PDF COMING SOON): One was a family heirloom needing finish repairs and reupholstery utilizing the original innards in a new cranberry velvet.  After we finished this conservation project, the couple found two more chairs completely stripped of finish and innards and asked us to bring them up to par with the original!
 

  2003 GODWIN-INSPIRED PRIMITIVE BARREL-BACK CHAIR (PDF COMING SOON):  This is a family heirloom passed down from a great-grandfather ca. 1870.  We believe is a late regency oriental-influenced primitive in the Godwin style.  It was badly broken, and had been repaired with crude metal brackets.  We repaired the breaks properly, repaired the finish, allowed the anomalies to stand as is, and returned the piece to leather upholstery.
 

    2002 EGG CHAIR BY ARNE JACOBSON (PDF COMING SOON):  A modern family heirloom, this early Egg Chair was destroyed by a bad upholsterer who drilled holes through the back and placed buttons to hold the cream fabric in place.  MPFC restored the piece to its original condition using conservation techniques, and using approved upholstery
 

  2001 MIMI'S WINDSOR ROCKER (PDF ): A family heirloom from the late 19th century, the finish was severely compromised, and the needlepoint (not original but very old) was soiled.
